Our First Baby Shower

Jay and I were so blessed a couple weekends ago to get to travel down to NC for a  family and family friends baby shower at my sweet cousin's house. It was a beautiful day and all the details of the shower were so perfect. This group knows how to plan a party!
Jay and I with our wonderful hosts - Cathy & Susan, Katie, My Mimi, and Steve who did the most wonderful job of tying pink ribbons onto all of the silverware!
Lots and Lots of yummy food! The shrimp cocktail were a huge hit for a coed Baby Shower - Jay may or may not have been able to consume the entire plate full if he had been given the opportunity.
My dear friend Hannah and Baby Davis in her belly! I am already in favor of an arranged marriage between these two sometime when they are 45. Haha just joking... but I was thrilled to get to see Hannah and Aaron as always!

I wish I had more photos of all the rest of our sweet family that came to celebrate with us - I am so bummed I missed the opportunity to get a picture of my super cute nephew Gavin because he is 6 months now and was SO adorable that day! Baby Girl better better take after her cousin's laid back, easy going personality...
Jay and I with Uncle Ben & Aunt Stella and Grandma {who hasn't quite decided on what Baby Girl is going to call her yet - any suggestions?}

Pink Iced Animal Crackers - Loved these cute party favors!
Rubber Duckies in the Pink Lemonade - so creative!
How cute are those decorations for the mantle!?! - Clothes for sweet Baby Girl!
My cousin Katie had made "New Parent Survival Buckets" for Jay and I to open. They were quite creative and full of funny and very useful items! Such a creative idea.
Jay's Daddy Doody Kit was complete with disposable gloves, a "Pooper Scooper Shovel", Advil, Diapers, a football rubber ducky for daddy bath time, and quite a bit of necessary candy!
Mommy's survival kit included things like Marbles to replace all the ones you lose as a parent, and sour patch kids to remind mom that each baby is different. Lots of really cute ideas!
Jay was such a great sport about opening gifts geared towards an unborn baby girl - Lots of "Oh thats cute" while thinking what in the world does she need that for. Ha! He is going to be a wonderful Daddy and has already fully embraced just how much pink is entering his life!

By far Jay's favorite gift! How AMAZING is this tricycle!! We are in love - Baby Girl will have no choice but to love it too :)
Our good friend's Adam and Ashley's son Aiden was thrilled to give the Tricycle a test drive!
He is SO stinkin' cute! Love that face of excitement
This wreath was hanging on the front door and is simply amazing! The coolest idea ever - Kinda like a diaper cake idea but with wash cloths, burp cloths, teething rings, rubber bath duckies, bottles, baby powder, toys, pacifiers... so many useful things! We are planning to hang it on our front door when Little Miss Hawkins makes her arrival :)

Love it!

  1. ohhhhhh these were so great! I loved all the gifts and decorations, your family did a great job! I'm thinking that Clemson trike might need to be passed down baby to baby...(or toddler to toddler) through our friends. Just a thought ;) Can't wait to meet your baby girl!!!! Love you!
